About Alexander Gabauer
I am currently a senior at The University of Pennsylvania studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). Taken directly from the curriculum\'s description, a PPE student will effectively understand \"problems that arise when we interact with each other and then evaluate the tradeoffs among the economically/politically feasible and morally desirable set of solutions.\" I believe this major provides opportunities that are a great fit for my career goals, leadership skills, and personal attributes. Athletics has been a major influence in both my physical and mental development throughout the years. I have played basketball, football, golf, and baseball from my childhood and into high school. Baseball continues to be a part of my life that teaches me to properly handle adversity and challenges while emphasizing unity and respect for those around you. Helping lead the team to on field success while maintaining a strong sense of community through each opponent and obstacle is something I cherish and have always made a priority. Inclusion, work ethic, respect, and understanding are all critical components in team success. I strive to do my part each and every day to promote such an atmosphere. Major interests of mine include the automotive industry, athletics/sports, manufacturing, construction, engineering, and leadership. Following the commencement of my time at Penn, I look forward to entering the workforce and making a difference.
