Global Head of Financial Regulation. Experienced legal and regulatory leader with expertise in financial services regulation and governance across global markets. I advise boards and C-suite executives on the full spectrum of regulated activities, providing strategic counsel.I lead a high-performing, all regions legal team providing global coverage and general counsel support to the group’s regulated businesses. I work in close partnership with compliance, risk, and government affairs professionals to deliver cohesive, business-aligned regulatory strategies for all regions.I advise on the full-spectrum of group regulated activities and international perimeter questions, including trading venues (UK and Netherlands MTFs, Singapore RMO, US SEF), regulatory reporting (e.g. UK and Netherlands ARM and APA), benchmarks (BMR Administrator), ESG and critical third-party provider oversight. Experienced in scoping and delivering strategic projects, in response to commercial, regulatory and political change (e.g. MiFID2, Brexit, CTPP). Significant experience managing external and supervisory engagements, guiding and delivering external liaison. Lead adviser on Operational Resilience and critical third party oversight. Active participant in the Financial Markets Law Committee, contributing to both the forum on Infrastructure and Finance and Technology, and the Electronic Debt Markets Association.Previously at A&O, I advised on complex conduct and prudential matters, cross-border licensing, and high-profile M&A transactions such as bank acquisitions. I also completed secondments at both a leading US and Swiss investment bank.
