About Alexander Driekonski
I am an undergraduate student at the University at Albany, where I am currently pursuing my Bachelor\'s degree in Public Policy and Management. I am also minoring in Law & Philosophy, with a concentration in Technology & Policy. After I graduate, I am interested in pursuing my MPA (Master of Public Administration) through Rockefeller College.Currently, I am working as a Legislative Intern for New York StateWatch, where I help to collect information, perform research, write stories, and otherwise monitor the processes of the New York State Capitol on a daily basis. My position here has allowed me to further refine my research, analysis, and interpersonal skills, as well as giving me an up-close and personal opportunity to witness the birth, development, and completion of all different kinds of policy.I am closely interested in the digitalization of government, and how new, underutilized technologies can contribute to E-government and policy applications. I believe the future of effective, equal, and transparent governance lies online, where it is not only accessible to all, but is encouraging for all to participate. Additionally, I am interested in the development and implementation of policy, and how together we can make policy more effective and more equitable for all, while still ensuring its feasibility.
