About Alexander Daigle

I\'m currently furthering my education at Bryant University, pursuing a degree in data science, and will be graduating in 2029. I\'m fascinated by the game of baseball, in particular, how data can be used to evaluate player performance, optimize strategy, and support decision making at the MLB level.My major is data science, because it combines my passion for math with a developing industry, there are some many roads that I could take with this major. Additionally, I enjoy taking numbers and turning it into information that is useful to others and can be applied in the real world. What really drives me is the possibility of taking all this data and using it to better others\' and see results. Through my coursework and independent learning, I\'m building a foundation in statistics, programming, and business. I enjoy working with data to uncover patterns, ask questions, and turn numbers into meaningful information that can be applied to help others. Long term, I would love to pursue this passion by taking up a career in data analysis with a Major League Baseball organization, contributing to player development or game strategy through my work.Baseball is what drove me to pick my major. As a member of my high school baseball team, I prepared scouting reports on opponents prior to games and used in-game data to make real time adjustments to our strategy. Coming to love this part of the game pushed me to look into what I could do with this passion, which drove me to major in data science. Outside of academics, I work as a cook, an experience that has strengthened my ability to work under pressure, manage time, and collaborate well with coworkers in fast-paced team environments. I plan on taking that same work ethic along with these skills and apply them in both my academics and professional endeavors.
