OLVT’s mission is to become the first collegiate team to deliver a payload into Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The Structures sub-team is responsible for designing, fabricating, and testing rocket structures, recovery systems, and staging mechanisms using advanced CAD, FEA, and manufacturing techniques.Work done includes- Served as essential launch personnel for OLVT’s two-stage suborbital testbed rockets, Skipper 2A and Skipper 2B, performing booster integration and ensuring reliable stage separation. Skipper 2B achieved full mission success- Conducted ground tests, including static fires and recovery hardware validation- Fabricated components, including carbon fiber-wrapped fins and launch rail guide hardware- Designed, simulated, built, launched, and successfully recovered a personal high-powered rocket, earning Tripoli Level 1 High-Power Rocketry Certification- Contributed to the research paper \"Application of Systems Engineering Principles to the Development of Spaceflight Technologies,\" primarily authoring the launch-day recovery systems section.
