Polyethylene plastic helps make the world go round. Since 1972, Champion Plastics has been at the forefront of ensuring that clients big and small get the products necessary to fulfill a wide array of needs. For the last 14 years, I’ve been helping Champion Plastics grow as a company and a brand. As an account manager, I assist our clients in finding the right products to suit their businesses and industries. Champion is one of the largest producers of polyethylene plastic bags, and we have one of the largest resin silos in the world. Some of the clients and industries I’ve helped throughout my tenure at Champion include:Food and BeverageModern consumers are paying closer attention to the food they eat, and the relationship between growers and customers is becoming more tight-knit. We produce a broad assortment of bags and materials to ensure product freshness and quality, as well as to prevent contamination from outside sources. PharmaceuticalsMedicines and other drugs have to be stored according to strict standards. We produce a variety of packaging to ensure that each substance is handled with the proper care and attention to detail. When someone’s health or life is on the line, we can’t afford to cut corners. Chemical PackagingThe world relies on many different chemicals to keep industries and systems running. Our products help protect these chemicals so that they don’t spill or contaminate areas. A spill can be costly and potentially deadly, which is why we maintain the highest quality control standards for our clients. Merchandising and RetailThere is a certain level of ergonomics that goes into single-use and multi-use packaging. Each bag or container has to be designed with purpose while also being disposable and reusable. Champion helps retailers serve their customers better by providing the best packaging possible without creating unnecessary environmental damage. Hazardous Waste RemovalHandling toxic materials like asbestos or medical waste is a crucial job. Improper storage could lead to contamination and a significant health hazard. Our goal is to provide security and convenience without putting anyone at risk. Champion Plastics continues to lead the way in responsible plastic production and usage. I’m proud to have served this company for nearly 15 years, and I’m excited about everything that the future holds for both the business and the plastics industry at large.
