About Alexander Collingsworth
After completing two federal clerkships, I decided to join the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office to pursue my goals of learning sbout the criminal justice system and getting intensive in court experience. I started out in the federal litigation unit with the Appellate Division. After transferring from the Appellate Division, I served in the Municipal Court unit for six months, including doing the one month gun violence task force rotation. I was then promoted to the Motions group in the pretrial unit, handling complex refile cases and misdemeanor appeals. I then accepted a position with Morgan and Morgan’s Complex Litigation Appellate and Motions Department in New York. I have a breadth of litigation related experience including internships with the SEC and DOJ. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a double major in English and History after completing a series of short stories titled \"Heart for Hire\" as an Honors Thesis, showcasing my creativity and storytelling abilities.
