About Alexander Chandler

I joined Invenergy in January 2021 because of the scale and impact Invenergy’s renewable development projects have on the world. I work on the Renewable Development team; we take projects from an idea to execution – this involves forming a land position, gaining interconnection rights, arranging for energy offtake, designing the facility, and finally building the facility. Project development is a complex multi-year-long process. My prior experience was in Deals, Finance, and Accounting while I worked at PwC, Deloitte, and a boutique advisory firm. Before joining Invenergy, my position as an M&A Senior in PwC Australia\'s Private Client Deals group, my role involved being in the details of deals on a day to day basis. My work entailed collaborating with company management and various PwC functions to create financial models, craft investment highlights in Information Memorandums (similar to CIMs in the U.S.), prepare accounting data packs, and research companies and industries. In doing so, I became skilled in evaluating M&A deal breakers, creating visualizations and concise summaries of complicated topics, assessing business values, leading teams, and solving problems. These skills in M&A were built upon my broad financial and technical aptitude developed from years as a Financial Auditor at Deloitte and my and most defining trait, a general curiosity of the world around me, which was fostered from a young age. My upbringing in an engineering household encouraged my intellectual curiosity and provided me with the ability to understand design and how things work. I enjoy learning about people—which helps me make good personal and professional connections. I also enjoy learning about markets, economics, history, and technology, which is primarily informed by articles I read daily in Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, etc. My hobbies include traveling, skiing, biking, hiking, camping (generally anything outside), and reading. While living in Australia, I learned to surf, earned my advanced scuba diving certification, and explored Oceana.
