About Alexander Vazquez
My name is Alex Vazquez, I’m a second-year student at Ohio University studying Finance, Accounting, and Pre-Law with a minor in Business Analytics. I’m an outgoing and high-energy person who thrives in social, fast-paced environments and enjoys staying busy, challenged, and constantly learning.Currently, I serve as a Head Investment Analyst in the Fixed Income Management Group at Ohio University, where I help manage a $3.5 million multi-asset fixed income portfolio. Working with Corporate IG and credit markets, I’ve developed a strong interest in working with more complex products within investment banking, particularly structured products and broader fixed income markets.This upcoming summer, I will be interning with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank in New York City within Specialty Finance. I am excited to gain experience in underwriting and monitoring credit exposures across Trade & Commodities and Aviation Finance.Outside of extracurriculars, I enjoy hiking, running, cooking, and spending time on the water through wakeboarding and surfing. I’m always looking to place myself in environments that demand effort, discipline, and strong execution. I enjoy building relationships with others with similar mindset. I look forward to connecting!
