Saved $259K in operational costs by reducing the headcount from 18 to 15 HC, supplementing temp labor in times of high volume, negotiating service/maintenance contracts, and rebidding work for lower contract pricing. Reduced overtime 31.8% resulting in a $170K cost savings by monitoring productivity and performance metrics, improving the picking/packing process, and optimizing storage locations for quicker picking/put away. Increased daily output 13.2% by reviewing productivity and implementing a process change to increase overall picking and packing productivity targets.
