ABOUT ALEX ALVORD

Joined the Global NC2 Unit with ~15 members in January of 2021. As of January 2026, our NC2 team has grown to over 250+ including GTM motions with hyperscalers. Currently, I spend around 75% of my time on Pilot/Production/PoV/PoCs for our largest customers across the Americas and across segments. 25% on global enablement, advanced networking, and design architecture and many problem statements. IaC, landing zones, governance, multi account, hybrid multi cloud and multi cloud use cases (VMs -KVM and (containers - CNCF)). I work daily with Product Management, Engineering, Technical Marketing and motions to provide feedback loops that deliver value for the customer, period. Other areas of interest and working on; Cloud Budgets (GCP, AWS, Azure)- Conditional Access TTL, Deployment patterns, IaC, AI, K8\'s use cases. Active contributor to Nutanix Best Practice Guides, NVDs, Certification Program, member of our Xpert Cloud team and have been running the local Nutanix User Group for ~ 5 years in Seattle. As a Solutions Architect at Nutanix, I deliver the full Nutanix stack into public cloud, bringing transformational disruption and modernization to our clients. My mission is to help clients adopt automation, orchestration, and elasticity, enabling a self-service IT model and a service-oriented architecture. I also leverage Nutanix validated design, cloud native, and cloud pattern architectures (LZs/IaC) to provide scalable, reliable, and secure outcomes. In addition, I am passionate about servant leadership, mentoring, and podcasting, as I believe in sharing my knowledge and insights with others.Specialties: application modernization, datacenter divestment, BCDR design/methodology, orchestration, automation- No one organization can solve everything, knowing, understanding, and accepting this means this role will spend time asking questions, challenging assumptions, and also working with key partners, suppliers, and other strategic resources on how TO better integrate anything focused on into the people/process/technology ecosphere successfully.I am actively involved in a host of technology bodies and love putting time and commitment back into the larger community that finds value.
