I am a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with 10+ years of computational experience,~8 years of academia experience as a Bioinformatics Scientist and approximately ~6.5 years in the genomics and cancer immunology space. I have extensive experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and effectively managing analyses for 8+ research projects simultaneously while supporting 5+ internal labs and 10+ external collaborators at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute. I am proficient in workflows for DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, TCR-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Methyl-Seq, single cell RNA-Seq, 16S microbiome, proteogenomics, spatial transcriptomics and multi-omic integration.Previously, I was a Learning Consultant at Willamette University supporting 20+ students’ thesis projects by identifying appropriate statistical analyses, research designs, and computational methods for data visualization.I am backed by 3 additional years of formal computer science training and 3 years of teaching statistics to 350+ undergraduate students.
