ABOUT ALEX WORMALD
My name is Alex Wormald, I am currently on a year long placement at Queens Park Rangers Football Club as the Marketing & Supporter Services Assistant. Within this role I assist with the clubs digital marketing functions and initiatives alongside providing a high quality customer service to a variety of consumers on a daily basis. I am also currently studying Sport Science and Management going into my final year at Nottingham Trent University. Alongside my university work I work for MCS Marketing Events in which I attend big sporting events such as the commonwealth games, festivals such as Brighton Pride and clubs such as Labyrinth to promote, market and sell products and services to hundreds of people. I was born in Reading and attended Reading bluecoat school from the age of 11-18 where I achieved 10 GCSE qualifications (6-9) and 3 A Levels in Business, Psychology and German (ABB). I have also previously worked in hospitality at multiple companies. These have all helped to develop key skills and attributes such as high self-confidence, excellent communication skills and a resilient and motivated work ethic. In the future I am looking to work within the world of Sport, more specifically in Sport management in areas such as commercial sales, sponsorship and marketing. This is motivated by my passion for sport that I have had since a young age and by a consistent interest in business operations and how businesses work.
