1. Music Licensing Coordinator

   One half of Hulu\'s music team.Coordinating with Hulu’s internal cross-functional stakeholders as well as outside parties including labels, publishers, copyright owners, composers, their managers and/or attorneys, regarding ownership, invoicing and license tracking. Managing Hulu marketing music clearance and rights information for all licensed cues including tracking territory, media and terms, maintaining/tracking all cue sheets, as well as ensuring the timely takedown of expiring assets to prevent legal action and/or additional fees being incurred.Music Searches – creating briefs and liaising with music libraries to source music – approx.100+ searches across 70+ shows and campaigns during FY2022Music Tracking and Reporting – responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining music usage trackers for both library and non-library cues, reviewing and revising cue sheets across 115+ shows and campaigns; compiling and internally reporting lists of expiring assets monthly; creating quarterly music usage reports for our libraries, and synthesizing/analyzing data on usage to inform key decisions regarding blanket licenses.Music Vendor Management – overseeing the ingestion process of new music vendors into DSMP including but not limited to: initial contact, onboarding, and troubleshooting registration issues; creating and maintaining an internal database to track registration status and vendor numbers.Music Creative – coordinating across internal and external parties for the creation of original music, including but not limited to: scores, soundtracks, remixes, overlays, and trailerizations; tracking assets, deliverable deadlines, providing/communicating creative feedback.Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internally and on behalf of Hulu with third-party companies, labels, artists, studios, and publishers.Negotiating fees for non-library sound effects; serving as a liaison for Hulu in all facets of the sound effect licensing process.
