About Alex Suskind

Hi, my name is Alex. For nearly two decades, I’ve worked in journalism and editorial strategy, including more than a decade in senior leadership roles. I\'ve held nearly every position you can on the edit side: reporter, critic, features editor, copyeditor, social media lead, producer, branded content writer, homepage editor. I also have extensive experience as a manager, leading the day-to-day operations of high-performing editorial teams and mentoring direct reports. I\'ve held senior-editing roles at New York magazine, Entertainment Weekly, HuffPost, and Sports Illustrated. Additionally, I was one of the first 200 employees of Instagram, where I founded the company\'s official music magazine, led pop-culture editorial initiatives, and helped launch Stories. While much of my work has focused on the music and arts space, I also have experience writing and editing stories about politics, technology, fashion, and science.
