Lead a department, setting the strategic direction and accountable for:• policy on financial services firms’ use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).• the FCA’s approach to developing and delivering policy, and training policy staff at the FCA, as deputy head of the FCA’s Policy Profession.• changes to the regulatory framework for financial services, supporting and coordinating the delivery of financial services bills, Edinburgh and Leeds reforms and Mansion House announcements.• operationalising HM Treasury’s Smarter Regulatory Framework (SRF) within the FCA as accountable executive for the programme.• policy on the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM & CR), diversity and inclusion and non-financial misconduct in financial services firms, the Appointed Representatives regime, remuneration and raising fees from financial services firms. • the FCA’s Handbook of rules for firms and accountable executive for developing a new FCA Handbook website.• publication of the FCA’s Regulatory Initiatives Grid and Perimeter Reports.I was also previously responsible for prudential policy, including accountable executive for the implementation of the Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR), and the FCA’s work on sustainable finance.Responsible for cross-divisional initiatives on diversity and inclusion
