ABOUT ALEX SIRARD

I am a sport performance coach, goaltender, and goalie development specialist dedicated to preparing hockey athletes for long-term success — from youth prospects to WHL, NCAA, and professional levels.As the founder and head coach of EVO Athletics, I built a private high-performance training facility modeled after collegiate and professional environments. Our training is structured, assessment-driven, and rooted in sport science. Every athlete progresses through a clearly defined performance system built around data, accountability, and long-term development.With over 15 years of experience coaching goaltenders and a background in kinesiology and strength & conditioning, I specialize in integrating physical preparation with the technical and mental demands of the position. My approach blends movement quality, power development, energy system training, and readiness management to support performance under pressure.In addition to my performance coaching role, I have served as the practice goaltender for the Lethbridge Hurricanes for the past three seasons while continuing to compete at the senior level. Regularly skating with NHL players, prospects, and European professionals, I maintain game-ready standards and operate comfortably at professional tempo.With the NHL’s 2026–27 CBA formalizing designated Emergency Backup Goalie roles, I am preparing to pursue full-time integration opportunities that combine goaltending readiness with performance support within an NHL organization.I am open to relocation and interested in contributing within structured, high-performance environments where standards, preparation, and long-term athlete development are prioritized.
