ABOUT ALEX SCOTT
My experience prior to University was dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis, working within hospitality and food production. Once I graduated with my Honors in Graphic Design, I started to freelance and this allowed me to gain further knowledge and become more independent.I changed the course of my career to an area in which I have always had a strong understanding of, the technology sector. I joined News UK (formerly News International) in November 2012, working as a Service Desk Analyst. Being part of a 1st line team allows you to learn a vast array of processes (over 500 we have to know) in comparison to 2nd line teams who specialise in around 50 processes.I deal well with customers (internal / external) and have always dealt well under pressure, always one to thrive on success and helping a team out where I can. I always want to learn more and adapt on what I already know.I have a few key areas in which I am working further towards and one being Google Administration, this is one of my SME roles within my line of work, I am aiming for a couple of certifications within this later this year. I have been looking into Cloud Security too, this area is constantly expanding and I definitely like being under pressure.
