I thrive on understanding how things work, and that curiosity is foundational to my career as a CPA and technology consultant. I\'m passionate about helping people solve problems, and the most critical step in solving any problem is to clearly define and understand it. My area of expertise is helping businesses investigate and improve their processes to maximize the value of their technology investments. By designing, developing, and implementing tailored analytics and automation solutions, I help companies transform data into actionable insights. Often, tax and accounting functions spend a substantial portion of their time gathering and preparing data to meet deadlines and fulfill recurring compliance obligations, which leaves limited time for innovation and strategy. I help businesses reclaim that time through optimizing their software systems and replacing error-prone, time-intensive manual processes with thoughtful automation. I love digging into the details, understanding the flow of information, identifying constraints, and figuring out which areas of improvement will provide the greatest ROI. I also love learning about new technology, and it has been amazing to watch how much the landscape has changed over the past few years. I have spent a huge amount of time outside of work learning about AI and machine learning, the underlying architectures, and evolving toolsets that allow AI models to do more complex tasks. We are living in a time of incredible opportunity, but cutting-edge technology also brings new forms of risk that businesses need to understand and manage to succeed. The terrain is also constantly evolving, and the status quo can change overnight. My goal is to help businesses assess their opportunities and risk tolerance, and to forge a path forward that strikes the right balance between the needs of today and the hopes of tomorrow.
