ABOUT ALEX SCHECHTER
A respected veteran of the Las Vegas entertainment industry, Alex Schechter has more than 15 years experience in live entertainment, stage production and marketing.As SR. Vice President and Associate Producer for SPI Entertainment, Schechter directs the day-to-day operations of more than six Las Vegas resident shows and three touring productions. He is integral in developing show concepts, and overseeing the lighting, music, costumes, advertising, financial modeling and ticketing systems for SPI Entertainment’s multiple live entertainment productions including Thunder From Down Under, Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas, Australian Bee Gees, BoyzIIMen, and Human Nature:Jukebox with limited runs of Mike Tyson’s Undisputed Truth and the off-Broadway hit Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man. A Los Angeles native and graduate of the University Nevada, Las Vegas, Schechter has co-authored and served as Creative Consultant on the biography of renowned Joan Rivers impersonator Frank Marino, entitled “His Majesty The Queen.” Prior to his executive position at SPI Entertainment, Schechter served as Company Manager for Greg Thompson Productions where he directed show operations for several live productions on the Las Vegas Strip. He has also developed and managed the launch of the extended run of comic-magician The Amazing Jonathan at the Riviera Hotel & Casino and founded the full-service talent and management agency 4 Dramatic Purposes.
