ABOUT ALEX SCARFE
Alex Scarfe is an award-winning editor and seasoned post-production professional based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he earned his BA in Cinema Art and Science from Columbia College Chicago in 2018, followed by an MFA in Post-Production Editing from the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in 2020.While at AFI, Alex’s short film Apart, Together won the 2021 GSA BAFTA for Best Live Action Short and was featured at acclaimed festivals including the Sundance Windrider Summit, Vancouver International Film Festival, and HBO Presents UrbanWorld. He also edited Faro, which was selected as an official entry at the 2021 Festival de Cannes.Since completing his studies, Alex has collaborated with leading studios and brands such as Netflix, Samsung, Woodford Reserve, Meta, Paramount, KIA, Crunchyroll, Apple and Riot Games, creating world-class content for both brands and artists. He served as Lead Assistant Editor on the premiere season of Yo!
