WORK HISTORY
Athletic Trainer @The Center For Physical Rehabilitation
I am responsible for the care of approximately 760 student-athletes throughout the academic year. Injury management is a team effort and occurs best with effective communication between all stakeholders. Down time is used to catch up on peer-reviewed research and professional self-reflection to improve areas of weakness.Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, an evidence-based balance program was implemented to reduce the frequency and severity of lateral ankle sprains. The following athlete teams participate: volleyball (girls varsity), basketball (girls/boys, all levels), and competitive cheer.During the summers of 20••••18, I was responsible for programming the speed and agility portion of our 6-week \"Husky Strength\" strength and conditioning camp, which was available for all incoming 7th-12th grade students-nearly 200 in 2018. Additionally, I oversee one GVSU Athletic Training Masters Student per semester, serving as their clinical preceptor.
