About Alex Rosenthal
As a Partner in A.Y. Strauss’ Real Estate group, I bring over a decade of experience in leading sophisticated real estate transactions from concept to close. My areas of expertise include commercial leasing, portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and related financings spanning all asset classes, including office, retail, residential, industrial and hospitality. I work with clients on high-value real estate deals and advise institutional investors, equity sponsors, and other stakeholders in major commercial transactions across asset classes. I have extensive experience in land banking transactions and in data center and co-location leasing, and have played a key role in over $5 billion of related transactions. Before joining A.Y. Strauss, I was an attorney at both international and national firms, where I advised on marquee transactions including an $8 billion joint venture involving a transformative mixed-use development in New York’s Hudson Yards District, and advised a leading global investment firm on the acquisition of model homes across 27 states, including leaseback structuring and ongoing portfolio management. Additionally, I have represented several retail and technology startups in the negotiation of headquarters acquisitions, dispositions, sale leasebacks, ground and space leases throughout the country.
