About Alex Rodriguez

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I joined the US Army Reserves, attending the Military Intelligence School to become a Counterintelligence Agent. Deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11, I earned a Bronze Star and Commendation Medal with a Valor Device. Upon returning home, I completed a Bachelor’s degree and joined The Walt Disney Company as a supervisor for the Global Security Control Center (GSCC). My role quickly expanded, spearheading a $1M remodel to enhance the center’s capabilities for faster response rates, better training, and higher overall security. & In 2012, I began managing the Special Services department, overseeing Executive Protection and Production Security, including advanced security planning for Disney’s CEO and C-suite, event security for corporate events, and coordinating investigations with Legal teams. Promoted to Senior Manager in 2014, I led incident management, emergency security system monitoring, and comprehensive notification services, driving process refinement and project management. I developed and implemented key safety programs, achieving cost savings through unified contracts.18 As Director of the Global Security Control Center, I lead 24/7 global monitoring and tactical threat and risk mitigation. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, I developed crisis tripwires, managed access control systems, and established a proactive security architecture with global partners. I oversee 10+ enterprise programs, including Travel Safety and Expert Duty of Care, enhancing security for personnel, property, operations, and the brand. I coordinate security investigations and manage event security for high-profile company functions, integrating best practices in the entertainment industry. In 2023, I deployed a global framework connecting 15 security operation centers, unifying response, communication, and awareness efforts. I also developed a centralized dashboard to streamline global operations. Throughout 18 years at Disney, I transformed the GSCC from a team of 9 to a world-class organization with 40 staff, supporting 100+ field officers. I expanded the operating budget to $6M+ and created a robust security communication system. I’ve built and led strong, cohesive teams, fostering a collaborative environment. I remain passionate about artificial intelligence and integrating innovation into security strategies and operations.
