ABOUT ALEX ROBISON

I’m a Managing Director in Protiviti’s Healthcare Practice with more than 25 years of professional services experience providing operational, financial, and regulatory compliance and internal audit services to the Healthcare Industry. I lead Protiviti’s Healthcare Industry practice in the Western Region and serve as the Healthcare Provider Segment Leader. I also fill leadership roles in the firm’s Healthcare Compliance and Revenue Cycle solutions. With numerous provider and payer clients served throughout my career, i have experience working on projects of all sizes and scopes, including attorney-client privilege-based engagements, revenue enhancement projects, healthcare compliance effectiveness reviews, internal audit transformations, HIPAA privacy and security evaluations and healthcare provider operations optimization assessments. I direct numerous internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing engagements as well as large consulting projects for health systems and physician practices. I’m a frequent speaker on internal audit, compliance, and revenue improvement initiatives at industry-specific conferences and webinars. Prior to entering consulting, Alex worked for a large multi-regional healthcare system and was responsible for integrating Managed Care HMO protocols with Federally regulated Medicare guidelines for healthcare delivery.
