ABOUT ALEX RICHMOND
With experiences in sport, health, and community engagement, Alex brings experience across systems change, network building, partnership development and relationship management, and program evaluation. Alex is a passionate sport for impact advocate, cultivating experiences playing, managing, researching, and practicing purpose-led sport initiatives. She currently is a Co-Founder of the Sport for Changemaking Initiative, a global consultancy designed to identify, support, and champion systems changing solutions through sport. She additionally has served in Ashoka as a Corporate Partnership Manager for Ashoka Changemaker Companies. Prior to this work she was a contributor to Festival ’23 design and curriculum, a local legacy event of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and volunteer coordinator for Street Soccer Scotland. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Promotion from the University of New South Wales and an MSc in Sport Policy and International Development from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to Ashoka, Alex worked in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia to design, deliver, and evaluate community-based sport for social change initiatives.
