About Alex Pitt

You didn’t go into healthcare to feel this exhausted, this stretched, orthis disconnected from yourself. But somewhere along the way, it became a normal part of the job. After 15 years working across multiple healthcare settings and with hundreds of clients, many of them doctors, nurses, and therapists, I began to notice something. In many healthcare systems, self-sacrifice is quietly rewarded, especially if you’re competent, conscientious, and deeply values-driven. Yet the system often expects your energy, your time, and your well-being to be endlessly available.Over time, I saw the same pattern again and again. Some of the most dedicated healthcare professionals were quietly burning out, not because they didn’t care enough, but because they cared deeply and had been carrying too much for too long.I also know burnout from the inside. I’ve recovered from it myself, both in clinical settings and in private practice. I’ve worked with many professionals who still love what they do in healthcare. They want to stay in the field and live their values. They just don’t want their careers to cost them their health, relationships, or joy.Over time, I realized something no one teaches in training programs:There is a way through.Through self-advocacy, support, and small, sustainable micro-shifts, it’s possible to rebuild purpose, vitality, and integrity, without walking away from healthcare.Today, I spend much of my time talking with healthcare professionals, the ask the same question:“How do I keep doing work I care about without burning out?”I’m a licensed psychotherapist and EMDR-trained trauma specialist. Much of my work centers on burnout, compassion fatigue, and nervous system recovery for healthcare professionals.Burnout persists because deeply caring professionals are often trying to heal a systemic and relational injury in isolation. You were never meant to do this work alone. If you’re a healthcare professional wondering whether burnout is catching up with you, you’re not alone.MY FOCUSHelping healthcare professionals overcome career-threatening burnout and reconnect with the purpose that first drew them to this work.WHO I WORK WITHPhysicians • Nurses • Therapists • Psychologists • Social workers • Healthcare professionals navigating burnout or compassion fatigue.LEARN send me a DM.
