Since moving to Cornwall in 2004 I have specialised in business funding. With a decade of experience doing this I have a good knowledge of the region and what sources of commercial funding are available. I also have practical experience of developing, writing and pitching applications to funders.In the last 5 years I have delivered over 150 funding applications to different schemes including Regional Growth Fund, Plymouth University Growth Fund, Local Area Action Groups, Be the Boss, Start Up Loan Co, South West Investment Group and most often EU funds. A conservative estimate of the total value of funding raised across all these projects is £2m.My funding specialisms include; • eligibility, procurement, equality and diversity strands, environmental impacts, and contract compliance • financial forecasting and business plan development and pitching to attract commercial finance• business plan analysis: identifying blockages and solutions that deliver company growth and profitI am a SFEDI accredited Business Adviser (NB09••••••••06) and have a postgraduate Diploma with the Institute of Directors in London.
