ABOUT ALEX MENARY
Acting for both the prosecution and defence, I am a criminal practitioner committed to obtaining justice for both defendants and victims. Neither are served by short-sighted cuts and cost-cutting reforms. Regularly instructed in complex and difficult trials, my particular areas of specialism include fraud and sexual offences. I am frequently instructed in cases requiring utmost sensitivity and care. I have also developed a specialist practice in Police Law within the regulatory field. I am a Grade 4 CPS Prosecutor and Rape Panel member, familiar with the s28 procedure and have undertaken the nationwide vulnerable witness training. I also sit as a Fee-Paid Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal (Mental Health) and as a Recorder of the North Eastern Circuit.
