ABOUT ALEX MCLAREN

Chartered Senior Town Planner (MPlan, MRTPI) with experience delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK. Skilled in managing planning applications, appeals, and client relationships with a proven record of securing complex consents and contributing to business growth.After working with Mosaic part-time throughout my Master\'s degree, I joined the company full-time in June 2023. My role at Mosaic has been, and continues to be, an exciting opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills which I gained throughout my studies to real-life projects, while constantly learning and developing my skillset and industry knowledge.I have more than 3 years of experience handling planning applications, appeals, policy reps and more for projects of varying scales. From major residential development for 100+ homes to small-scale commercial development, I\'m confident working across several sectors.Aside from Planning, I have over 5 years of experience in hospitality in restaurants, bars and corporate events, working in a range of team sizes from 2 to over 200. This has instilled a strong work ethic in me as well as improving my teamwork, organisation and people skills.I\'m always open to new opportunities to widen my knowledge in Planning and the wider built environment profession, as well as opportunities to develop working relationships so please don\'t hesitate to get in touch!
