About Alex Mattingley
Hello, my name is Alex Mattingley and I am a full stack web developer with a love for simple designs and great relationships. A couple of things that I am proud of: I have led several web development projects and I have participated in countless others as a student of all things code. I have had the pleasure of working with Made by Grizzly a leading design and development firm in San Diego, CA and I have helped businesses succeed by either modifying their current websites or by building them out new ones. I am predominantly a front-end developer and I can write clean beautiful code in Javascript, PHP, Mysql, HTML, and CSS/SASS. I have a solid understanding of Jquery, Ajax, REST, SOAP, Apache, Mamp, Git, Bitbucket, Github, the Chrome Developer tools, Sublime, and PhpStorm. I really like working with Wordpress as a CMS and I have developed custom themes as well as installed those developed by others. I absolutely love what I do and for me coding is more than a job, its a passion. I am always looking for new clients, new relationships, and new experiences. At Intuit I work on the Turbo Tax product as a front end javascript developer for the In Product Upsell team. Our team is responsible for creating and updating upsell experiences for new and existing customers. Since Turbo Tax is a freemium product, the experiences that we create are responsible for generating revenue for the entire business. In this role, I worked on two different widgets. The IPU (In product upsells) widget consisted of Javascript, Backbonejs (with Underscorejs, Marionettejs, and Handlebars), HTML5, and SASS and the PMEC (product marketing experience collection) widget consisted of Javascript, react, node and styled-components.
