I thrive on solving user problems. Growing up in Burgundy surrounded by vineyards, I initially aspired to be a sommelier. The transition to software engineering while living in Bordeaux felt natural because both roles involve understanding and solving problems. Here\'s how I approach software development with the same passion: 1. Understand the Problem: Engage with users, gather data, and get feedback quickly. Just as a sommelier determines whether the meal is meat or fish, I identify the key features or pain points and understand the specifics. Explore Solutions: Consider various options, like pairing a dry white wine with cheese or suggesting a specific feature. I evaluate different methods to tackle user issues. Propose Solutions: Present potential solutions without assuming they\'re perfect. Users know best if a solution meets their needs. Implement the Solution: I bring technical expertise to build the solution in the best possible way. Gather Feedback: Assess the solution’s effectiveness, determining if it\'s a good first sip or a lasting answer. Iterate: Continuously address new user problems, akin to selecting the next wine for a meal or the next user challenge. Collaboration is key, involving users and stakeholders to craft the best solutions. I prioritise working with a happy team that enjoys learning and solving problems. Honesty, innovation, and fun are at the core of everything I build.
