Selected projects: • Supported a US utility in developing a hydrogen strategy by analysing market opportunities, modelling costs, and considering IRA implications, permitting, and support. This project lays the groundwork for a billion-dollar business in the US market.• Co-developed a standard for the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) to decarbonise the oil and gas industry, providing analytical support and research on decarbonisation scenarios and targets. This standard is a First Of A Kind (FOAK) for the sector.• Led an international project in Türkiye on sector coupling and smart grids, managing activities, stakeholder alignment, and political support. The project is ongoing.• Evaluated a Smart Grid R&D programme funded under Horizon Europe, assessing compliance with R&D targets and prompting programme modifications based on identified gaps.• Developed a plan for a European TSO to achieve 2030 hydrogen infrastructure targets, including assessments, key milestones, and work packages. The Board approved the plan.• Created a vision for the Canadian Hydrogen Hub in Alberta by analysing hydrogen supply, demand, infrastructure needs, and stakeholder activities, targeting collaboration to address challenges.• Co-developed a vision for a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Hub in the US Midwest, assessing emissions sources, decarbonisation options, infrastructure evaluations, and coal plant retirements.
