About Alex Koulos

Over the course of my career, I’ve been lucky to work with a wide range of clients and industries — healthcare, real estate, financial services, manufacturing, entertainment, and power/utilities, just to name a few. Each one taught me something different about how businesses operate, how people make decisions, and how accounting sits at the center of all of it.Along the way, I found myself pulled toward the more complex corners of the profession. Technical accounting, SEC reporting, SOX, internal controls — the kinds of things most people don’t raise their hand for — somehow became the areas I enjoyed the most. I like understanding how things work, and I like helping others make sense of them too.I’ve also always had a mindset for improvement. Whether it’s building a cleaner Excel model, rewriting a memo so it actually tells the story, or finding smarter ways to manage workflows, I’m at my best when I’m taking something complicated and making it feel straightforward.
