   As a Senior Paralegal I play a pivotal role in supporting the labor & employment department across both the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring paralegals and legal support staff, ensuring efficient operations and consistent communication. I actively participate in departmental projects and committees, providing guidance and assigning tasks to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Responsible for developing and maintaining document and data, keeping files organized and updated, and generating reports to support legal operations. My role extends to directing outside counsel with minimal attorney input, ensuring timely and effective legal representation that minimizes disruption to business activities.In addition, I identify and implement training opportunities for internal clients, creating educational tools and programs that enhance legal knowledge and compliance. I manage moderately complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and may oversee the work of others to achieve project goals.My duties also include handling routine and non-routine legal tasks, conducting factual investigations, recommending courses of action, and drafting, reviewing, and transmitting legal correspondence and documents. I provide regular feedback to partners and departments, keeping stakeholders informed about the status of legal projects.Finally, I offer support and direction to internal business units based on assigned regions or areas of expertise, participate in cross-functional teams, and meet independently with business leaders as a representative of the Law and Corporate Affairs department. I proactively identify trends, issues, risks, and liabilities, propose solutions, and implement resolutions to support Starbucks’ ongoing success in both the US and Canada.
