Since it was founded in 2005, ZFHN Zukunftsfonds Heilbronn has been one of the largest venture capital funds in Germany. It assists primarily young, innovative technology firms that are established in the Heilbronn region or are ready to settle there in the short to medium term. ZFHN is privately financed and holds hundreds of millions of euros in owner’s equity. It supports companies with capital, know-how and contacts in the Heilbronn economic region. Its objective is the continued growth of Heilbronn as a successful technology site. This will also include the setup and expansion of clusters (medtech, biotech, cleantech) on a local level.As a privately financed fund, the ZFHN is independent of investment funds, banks, savings banks and state authorities. ZFHN management acts as an entrepreneurial partner with a long-term investment period. His young investment companies support ZFHN with controlling, strategy consulting and network contacts.
ABOUT ALEXANDER HOFER
Alexander Hofer studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre an den Universitäten von Stuttgart und Mannheim. Bevor er dem Unternehmen beitrat, war Herr Hofer für mehrere Unternehmen im In- und Ausland tätig. Überwiegend im Bereich der Unternehmensfinanzierung. Herr Hofer verfügt über viele Jahre Erfahrung im finanzieren von Start-Ups und hat Unternehmen mehrfach den kompletten Lebenszyklus des Risikokapitalmodels erfolgreich unterstützend begleitet. Des Weiteren war er auch als Interim Manager viele Male sehr erfolgreich.Anfang 2008 trat er dem ZFHN als Investment Manager bei.Als Prokurist und Investment Director des Unternehmens ist Herr Hofer außerdem für alle Rechtlichen und Administrativen Dinge des ZFHN versantwortlich.
