About Alex Hartman

As a Manager in PwC’s Advanced Risk and Compliance Analytics (ARCA) practice, Alex focuses on risk analytics and data-driven approaches to navigating the evolving healthcare regulatory landscape. He has developed advanced analytics, continuous monitoring, and data visualization service offerings from the ground up and has helped grow the RCSA practice across the country. Alex is familiar with data-driven regulatory enforcement techniques and the proliferation of external datasets driven by healthcare reform. In addition to developing innovative new service offerings, Alex focuses on data-driven client targeting and prioritization in order to embed analytics into existing firm relationships and enhance PwC’s value proposition through continuous monitoring. Alex has experience working with diverse healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, and disruptive new entrants that have expanded into healthcare from other sectors. Beyond regulatory compliance analytics and data visualization, Alex is well versed in system implementation and testing, data infrastructure and integration, key performance and risk indicators, data mining, predictive models, social media listening, and unstructured text analytics. Alex is also an expert on the digital health landscape as investments continue to pour into innovative and disruptive healthcare technology startups. These focus areas include wearables, personalized medicine, telemedicine, mobile and digital platforms, healthcare accelerators, and venture capital funding. Beyond the healthcare industry, Alex has become an expert on sports data analytics and represented PwC at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. He is also a self-proclaimed news junkie and is constantly scanning media outlets in order to understand global trends in healthcare, technology, geopolitics, business, finance, and innovation.
