Full time position as a 2/0 on a 120m+ explorer yacht. Conducting safety and navigational Officer roles (including Antarctica experience)Two and a half months temporary 2/0 on a prestigious 126m explorer MY. Undertaking the role of Navigational Officer handling all elements of bridge equipment maintenance. Passage planning and ECDIS upkeep (Kongsberg). Regular use of Dynamic positioning and single watch keeping.Assisted the chief officer and other second officer with Safety/ ISM compliance including LSA maintenance and safety inductions. Preparation of specifications for upcoming dry docks with regards to Navigation.Heavily involved with tender, HLO and crane operations. Conducted deck maintenance with the Bosun/ deck crew when operations allowed.
