I have a home lab running on a Proxmox server with a few dedicated VMs. One VM handles Plex for media streaming, another provides DHCP and DNS services for the network, and another is used for management and automation tasks (like Ansible). I also run a few Raspberry Pis for smaller jobs—one as a Minecraft server, one for backup DNS, and one as an audio streamer. A NAS provides central storage that all the systems connect to.The next step is to rent a vps to create a postfix relay to a mail management vm to create a private self-hosted on-premises inbox for things like bills.
