ABOUT ALEX GODWIN
I\'m an international student from Sri Lanka, currently doing my final year studying Computer Science at the University of Surrey. I just completed a one-year placement at Microsoft as an Azure Solutions Engineer Intern. At Microsoft, I worked across Azure cloud solutions and product demonstrations, helping businesses modernize their applications using Azure services. I built and delivered custom demos, supported solution specialists in customer engagements, and gained hands-on experience with Azure, GitHub, MCP servers, and AI-driven innovation. Beyond tech, I leaned into impact by mentoring students, running workshops, and speaking at universities and schools about careers, tech, and breaking into the industry.
