ABOUT ALEX DOAK
I am a freelance journalist and editor based in east London, specialising in luxury lifestyle. A 22-year career has afforded me a multifaceted and agile publishing skillset, with a high personal profile on the luxury-watch circuit. I practise a rare skillset, having entered watchmaking and retailing\'s rarefied circles via Q-P as a launch editor, then cutting my publishing teeth at FMS, producing customer glossies for luxury brands from the ground up. Both standing me in excellent stead for going solo on \"content-led\" client partnerships – from magazine copywriting, to consulting on full rebrands. As well as contributing regularly to consumer lifestyle titles such as CNN Style, Wired and The Telegraph, I\'ve leveraged horological clout as editor-at-large for several others. Pioneering men\'s fashion title PORT, for example, launching their biannual \'10:10\' watch supplement: complete with \'directional\' aesthetic, only married with accessible insight. I love working with a tight-knit, enthusiastic team to deliver beautiful new ways of looking at a \'timeworn\' subject matter, then delivering that across a brand\'s every platform.
