ABOUT ALEX CHADWICK
I am EMEA Chief Executive at Baker McKenzie, leading the Firm’s largest region on strategic growth and innovation across over 30 offices. I am also a long-standing Tax partner advising multinational clients on complex corporate finance, M&A, joint ventures, and restructuring matters.I joined Baker McKenzie as a trainee in 1990 and became a partner in I was promoted to London Tax department manager in 2006 and headed up the UK Tax Practice before taking over as Managing Partner on 1 September 2016.As a Tax partner, I advise on the tax aspects of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings and have been ranked as a leading Tax lawyers in Chambers UK. I also form part of the steering group coordinating Baker McKenzie’s global response to the OECD\'s Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative on multinational corporate taxation. Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling, piano music and spending time with my family (and two dogs and cat!) on the Norfolk coast.
