ABOUT ALEX CAMPRUBI
Alex Camprubi believes that design is a powerful way to create and improve our surrounding, that architecture and design are not only the result of ideas, passion, teamwork, administration, experience, and knowledge but of the respectful relation one can build with people around to make things happen harmoniously. He believes there is no innovation without research and exploration. And that innovation is an instrument within the design process which opens potential opportunities and redefines markets which in turn influences the public realm and buildings to be successful.He is Senior International Advisor at FM, whose corporate office is located in Madrid, Spain.Mr. Camprubi is a strong advocate for sustainable design and developing sustainable communities. He has taught courses on Sustainable Practices on Architecture, Urban Planning History, Architecture Design and Landscape Design at the School of Architecture at ITESM, Mexico and Peking University School of Design in China. He lectures often on the research done by him and his team in placemaking, neuro-urbanism, landscape intelligence and sustainable practices in architecture and landscape. Alex Camprubi has worked for different firms in China and Mexico and his work has contributed to achieving the ULI Asia-Pacific Award, the ULI World Award, the WAF Landscape Award and the Waterfront Center Award in between others.
