About Alex Brown

I am a Chartered Engineer Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 15 years postgraduate experience. I moved from the UK to the US in 2016, initially working on the Purple Line light rail project in Maryland. I\'m now working as a project manager, primarily with WMATA helping to modernize their data communications systems.My experience before this includes working as a highways engineer and project manager on a wide range of projects at all stages of the project lifecycle. I have a lot of P3 project experience, having worked as a designer on several and then working for two years as a P3 Advisor in London, providing advice for lenders on projects around the world. I also worked in Qatar, initially working for Qatar’s Public Works Authority helping to deliver Qatar’s Expressway Programme, and then for Atkins as Deputy Highways Design Manager, leading and directing a team of 30 highways engineers.
