About Alex Braser

I am a Deloitte Partner and New England Real Estate Leader with over fifteen years of experience serving companies in the real estate industry, including traded and non-traded REITs as well as private companies and fund complexes with both historical cost and fair value reporting requirements. Earlier in my career, I worked in our national office supporting Deloitte’s Real Estate Industry Professional Practice Director. During that time, I was a frequent speaker at real estate industry conferences where I presented on emerging real estate accounting issues, including the impact to the industry from the new revenue standard, the new lease standard, and the new definition of a business. I assisted in developing and communicating Deloitte’s industry positions on accounting and auditing matters and served as a consultation resource for Deloitte clients and professionals nationally as they worked through complex industry accounting issues. In addition to now leading audits for some of our largest real estate clients, I have experience with initial public offerings, secondary stock and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and spin-off transactions.
