ABOUT ALEX AYVAZIAN

I am a dedicated mental health counselor, writer, researcher, mentor, theorist, and educator. I currently work in private practice for my company, Soultice Counseling LLC, in partnership with East Cobb Counseling in Marietta, Georgia. I have successfully defended my dissertation titled \"The Everyday Meaning Scale: An Exploratory Factor Analysis and Initial Structural Determination for a New Framework of Meaning in Life\" for my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Mercer University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. My clinical training includes several years of experience in high-level care settings (IOP, PHP, Inpatient) and several clinical internships at Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods and Decatur, where I refined my skills in providing compassionate and evidence-based counseling services. During my doctoral journey, I have gained extensive experience in research, teaching, leadership, advocacy, supervision, and counseling. I have completed a residency at Emory Decatur Hospital and Mercer University, where I provided counseling services to adults and teaching and supervision services to students. I have served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant (GTRA) for over two years, during which I have honed my research, supervisory, and professorial skills. The GTRA experiences primarily included producing original writing and research, as well as supervising students. I have prepared and presented research findings at multiple research and professional conferences, including original nomothetic factor analytic research at the Atlanta Research Conference, and given talks at the Association for Humanistic Counseling and the Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia New Professionals Conference. These experiences have prepared me to be a knowledgeable and forthright professional in my future career as a clinician, speaker, writer, and educator.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and I attained a Master\'s degree in mental health counseling from Mercer University. I also have a background in sales, marketing, and customer service, which gives me strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. I bring value to organizations through my commitment to excellence, innovative problem-solving, and a results-driven approach. My work strikes a balance between clinical expertise and a passion for mentoring and education, all aimed at promoting growth and well-being for individuals and communities.
