Appointed by the mayor, I serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and the City of New Haven to engage in the following- Draft legislation and legislative proposals for submittal to the Board of Alders, in addition to proofreading departmental submissions to the Board of Alders - Principal coordinator of mayoral appointments to over 50 boards and commissions ranging from youth to health to community services - Works with Alders to identify solutions and find answers to questions and concerns raised by the public - Support Communications Director on legislative related media inquiries with written and/or oral information - Serve as a project manager for specific initiatives at the direction of the Mayor and Chief of Staff
