ABOUT ALESSIA LANNO
I hold a bachelor\'s degree in Chemistry from the University of Milan, with a thesis on the phytochemical characterization of indigenous hop varieties using HPLC. I obtained my master\'s degree in Clinical, Forensic, and Sports Chemistry from the University of Turin, with a thesis focused on the development of bioanalytical methods in LC-MS, carried out at the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, where I later continued on a research fellowship.I am currently in the third year of my PhD at the Mass Spectrometry Centre for Health and for Environment of the same institute. My doctoral project focuses on the study of food-borne process contaminants (3-MCPD and glycidol) found in vegetable oils and various food products. Specifically, I work on the development and validation of analytical methods using GC-MS and LC-MS techniques.
