ABOUT ALESSANDRO RAMAZZOTTI

Passionate about aerospace engineering, I bring over a decade of international experience in flight test operations, aeronautical engineering, and program leadership across civil, military, manned, and unmanned platforms. After graduating from Politecnico di Milano in Aeronautical Engineering (2014), I started my career with Italy’s major OEMs, contributing to more than 200 test sorties and system-level evaluations across fixed-wing programs. In 2019, I relocated to Berlin to lead experimental flight test activities for the GE Catalyst turboprop, supporting its first flight aboard a modified King Air 300 from Berlin Brandenburg Airport. In 2023, I joined Heart Aerospace in Sweden, working on the development and integration of electric propulsion systems—contributing to the early-phase design of one of the most promising sustainable aviation platforms in Europe.Since 2024, I have served as a Flight Test Engineer Instructor (FTEI) at the Empire Test Pilots’ School (ETPS), the world’s oldest and most respected flight test institution. Here, I focus on advanced instruction in test planning, data analysis, and systems evaluation, while also mentoring the next generation of flight test engineers. I take pride in blending technical rigor with team leadership and safety-first thinking.Beyond my daily role, I’m committed to strengthening the global test community. As Vice President of the Society of Flight Test Engineers – European Chapter, following two years as Director-at-Large, I actively promote knowledge sharing, cross-industry dialogue, and professional development for over 300 members across Europe and beyond.I believe the future of aerospace will be built by those who dare to innovate, collaborate across borders, and never compromise on safety. Because in flight test, progress isn’t just about how far we go—but how safely we get there, together.
