Manage a team of 10+ data scientists to develop and implement recommenderengines across the whole BBC estate.Key responsibilities and achievements• Technical leadership: Set technical strategy and ensure soundness of approaches developed across the team, which has delivered recommenders to serve content to millions of users every day.• People management: Support and facilitate development of the team. I have fostered an inclusive and scientifically stimulating environment, ensuring low turnover.• Stakeholders and partnership management: Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure our recommenders support the BBC\'s public service values and purposes. Organise collaborations with external partners. This resulted in multiple research projects advancing the team\'s technicalcapabilities around bias mitigation and implementation of non-engagement metrics.• Data Science advocacy and dissemination: Advocate for Data Science within the BBC and disseminate the team\'s work within and outside the organisation. Over the years, I have organised multiple conferences on Data Science topics at the BBC, published several peer-reviewed papers, and organised two workshops at major academic venues.
